This is a collaboration between Rushville Consolidated High School’s (RCHS) Family and Consumer Science Department (FACS) and First5 Rush County’s Early Learning Coalition. “Child Development classes will be reoriented from the singular focus on parenting to a broader focus that includes childcare as a viable business option,” explained Jill Carmony, Department Head of FACS. 2021 Grantee Update: Rushville Public Library’s “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” program “Getting our smallest residents on laps and having them read to is the best predictor of future school success,” said Nicki Kirchoff, RPL’s director. READ MORE MILORY STUDENTS LEAVE THEIR MARK Grantee Update: Milroy Economic Development Corporation “Did you do this whole thing by yourself?” asked the young girl standing in front of Milroy’s amazing new mural. “Not anymore,” smiled artist, Lance Woskobojnik. “I’ve had 125 helpers!” The students from Milroy Elementary School had the opportunity to add their own brushstrokes to the mural.
