CBAP Update: Parks Programming Grant

When CBAP projects started, the City of Rushville Parks Department had little in the way of programming. That changed when Kathi Jackley was hired in the Spring of 2022. Since then, she has brought programs as diverse as tot time, yoga, gardening, and flint knapping to the community.

She requested a $10,000 CBAP grant, made possible by your donations to the Rush to Action Fund. How did the money make a difference?

Update from Kathi Jackley on 8/7/2023:

I got the pleasure of marking a big project off the list this morning. We completed the swing set upgrades in all our parks. I am so proud of all the hard work my team put in for this project.

Each swing set got a fresh paint job, new hardware and chains and updated seats where needed. All of this was made possible by Rush County Community Foundation.

Additionally, we were able to add Playsoft mulch to each swing area and that would not have been possible without all those who generously donated through the Mayor’s 5k and our recent raffle.”
