YIP Spotlight: Jenna Geise

Future teacher Jenna Geise is just starting out her freshman year studying elementary education at Marian University. Her involvement in Sacred Choir there allows her to lend her voice to weekly masses and her hands to her current community. She also volunteers through MU days of service and would like to join the community service sorority Theta Phi Alpha. Even though college life keeps her very busy, Jenna is still involved with Rush County 4-H as she helps with the Clover Buds. Just this last summer Jenna was a 10-year member of the Posey Pride 4-H Club. She was also involved with FFA, Student Council, and Youth in Philanthropy (YIP). Together, these organizations taught her about philanthropy and the importance of effective communication. Jenna was also a RCCF scholarship recipient, and receiving this aid has inspired Jenna to hopefully one day give back to her community and future scholarship applicants. Jenna is proud to be from Rush County, especially with all of the new things happening in town such as the opening of boutiques, the Farmer’s Market, and Ivy Tech. She would like to contribute to this growth in the future by bringing back ideas from college and educating Rush County youth. RCCF is sure that Jenna’s compassionate heart will make her a great teacher, and we are excited to see how she leads future generations of Rush County citizens!
