Scholarship Season By the Numbers

The month of May might mean racecars and checkered flags for some. But it means scholarship season for us! As always, our volunteer committee has been busy making tough decisions. (Wondering how that process works? Check out this piece on the lifecycle of a scholarship.)

110 awards from 68 funds totaling $237,734.76 will be presented next week to 65 local students. That’s an average of $3,599.23 per recipient. Thank you to all our donors and fund founders for making this support possible! Did you know that some donors choose to make an additional donation to round out the scholarships that their funds award? We are fortunate to have so many generous people in our community!

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter to learn more about the recipients and see their smiling faces in the coming weeks. In the meantime we’ve put together some interesting stats about them for you.
