Rushville FFA Top 25 Trip to Louisville, KY

“The Rushville FFA took on Louisville, Kentucky for our Top 25 Trip! While it was a rainy one, that didn’t dull the spirits of these students and we had a fun, jam packed day! We kicked off the trip learning about greenhouse production at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens. We then took on a tour of the Louisville Slugger Museum where we were able to see the vital role agriculture plays in the production of bats that MLB players use. We then visited Churchill Downs where the famous Kentucky Derby takes place. We got to tour the track and spend some time exploring the museum. We then got dinner at Brazeiros Brazilian Steakhouse, which was a treat!”

**The We Believe in FFA Fund is unique among RCCF funds. It was started by an anonymous donor with a passion for supporting our local chapter. It’s a pass through fund, meaning that when FFA needs money, they submit a request to us. Once approved, Angie sends a check to them. You can think of it like a checking account. Its balance can go down to $0, if it’s spent and no money is added. Our donor is very generous and hasn’t let that happen.**
