Your Support in Action: Grantee RCHS Life Skills Class 13th February 2025 $272.74: Alex Workman Memorial Fund Submitted by: Brittney Corum, Rush County Schools Special Education Teacher, RCHS Life Skills Teacher Rushville Consolidated High School Life Skills Class used their grant to provide musical support for students. By purchasing music and instruments to have in the classroom, students who might not have the opportunity to participate in choir or band in the typical way get to do so. It gives them a safe space to express and enjoy themselves not only in class but as a way to express themselves when not in school, too. Brandi Manghelli, shared, “I am an aide in the room and the kids truly cherish our new music related additions! The keyboard is a favorite destination especially for one of our students. The adoration the student has for it has enabled us to not only share the beauty of music but also work on an incredibly important life skill… sharing!!! We are so appreciative and honored to have been chosen as a recipient of this amazing grant. Thank you so much!”
