Ken and Charlotte Brashaber established the Kenneth and Charlotte Brashaber Teacher Enhancement Award Fund at the Rush County Community Foundation.  This Fund will serve as a field of interest fund to benefit curriculum development for Rushville Consolidated High School teachers.

Expressing a passion for the field of education, Ken and Charlotte were eager to begin a unique fund that supports Rush County educators and students.  The Kenneth and Charlotte Brashaber Teacher Enhancement Award Fund will provide high school teachers the opportunity to share experiences both outside and inside their classroom to enhance the learning process for students.  They hope to enrich the educational experience for teachers and students by providing funding for:

1. A proposed activity or project outside of the classroom
2. An activity or project within the classroom
3. Additional schooling to further education enhancement (including symposiums, conferences, seminars, continuing education, Master’s Degree)

Priority for this grant will be given to a teacher proposing a creative or unconventional idea for the benefit of the educational process.  The first grant will be made available to teachers this fall.

Alisa Winters, RCCF Executive Director stated, “The Rush County Community Foundation is grateful for Ken and Charlotte’s desire to forever benefit generations of our community through an endowment fund.  Ken has developed two scholarship funds at the Foundation to assist postsecondary education for our students, and now he and Charlotte are providing funding that will impact both our students and teachers.  I have no doubt that this fund will provide memorable learning experiences for those involved.”
