September 2024 Grants Update

Helen and Jim Ewing Fund provides grants to agencies that provide food for the needy and/or non-profit agencies serving the elderly with essential needs and services.

With a $10,000 grant the Rush County Community Assistance Food Pantry provided every family with a gallon of milk twice a month. The funds were also used to purchase shelf-safe milk to fill the backsacks that are provided to all county elementary and middle school students in need of food assistance for the weekend.

 

Bob Priddy Sports Partner Fund provides financial support to Rush County youth involved in team sports, particularly to assist with team participation fees and equipment and/or camp tuition fees and equipment.

Three youth received a total of $240 to assist with football camp registration fees.

 

Robert & Gleela Baldwin Fund for Early Learning provides funds students accepted into and attending a Paths to Quality Level 3 or 4 preschool serving Rush County residents.

The families of three students received a total of $2,500 to help offset the the cost of preschool.
