LCC Grand Opening Celebration 26th March 2025 Pride filled the building on March 22nd at 1850 N. Main Street in Rushville. So did people for the Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Love Community Center presented by Jay and Christie (Kile) Love. It had been a long time coming. Decades of dreaming. No one imagined 7 years ago that a building filled only with disappointment and broken promises would infuse new life into Rush County. Fast forward. With a collective vision, hard work, cooperation, and the generosity of so many, it stands as a hub for connectivity and growth. “I’ve seen people today that I haven’t seen in 10 years,” smiled Carole Yeend at the ceremony. “It’s now a place of renewal and possibilities.” Several people spoke that day. But none as poignant as Christie Love. “This community provided for me, everything I needed to learn to be a person who values other people for who they are and not what they have. And to trust in your neighbor and be there for them and be loyal and true. That’s something that I hope this center just permeates into every young person – and senior citizen – that steps in here,” she shared. Now it’s up to us to take Christie’s words to heart. (Watch more below. We all got a little emotional at the 1:25 mark.) We are forever grateful to the Loves for their generosity and kindness! https://rushcountyfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Christie-Loves-speaks-from-her-heart-at-LCC-grand-opening.mp4
