A Gift that Surpasses a Lifetime 23rd October 2015 When a loved one of a friend or family member’s passes on, it’s difficult to know the “right” thing to say or do to help the situation. We’re often left scrambling to prepare and deliver a casserole, rearrange schedules to visit the family and/or funeral home, and purchase an item to let the friend/family member know how sorry we are for their loss. Though any effort expressed is meaningful and often invaluable, wouldn’t a gift that gives back, year after year, be an exceptional tribute? A memorial gift to the Rush County Community Foundation is permanently invested in the endowment fund of your choice, giving a distribution to the cause or organization annually. With 185 established funds, it’s likely that the RCCF has a fund that will honor a cause special to you or the deceased individual. Our “unrestricted endowment funds” benefit all of Rush County through annual grant distributions (and currently, donations are matched $1 for $1!). No contribution is too small! The dollar amount given is never shared. Any size of gift that is permanently invested grows and gives, year after year! If you are interested in giving a more sizeable gift, the option exists to create a named fund. Giving a memorial contribution, or any kind of donation, to the RCCF is easy. Local funeral homes have donation envelopes, our office takes walk-in donations, donations can be made online, or donations can be mailed to our office. The Rush County Community Foundation is proud to support our local nonprofit agencies, education, and a variety of meaningful causes to our donors and our community. Your contribution to the Foundation leaves a lasting impact within Rush County and for our Rush County residents. We encourage you to consider a gift today: a gift that gives forever.
