Mark your calendas for our third Annual Free Swap to be held on December 7th from 9 to 5. We are teaming up with Boys and Girls Club of Rush county this year and will be able to host this event in the teen gym at the boys and girls club.

What is a Free Swap you ask? It is much like a yard sale but everything is free. On Friday December 6th from 10 am to 7 pm, you can bring gently used items you wish to donate and a volunteer will sort and display these items. We ask that you please have items pre-sorted by category, such as baby or children clothing, girls and boys clothing, women’s or men’s clothing, and then household separated as well. This will help us get things set up. This is a good time to sort through things and donate to a good cause.

Then on December 7th, starting at 9 am you come and “shop” for the free items you want or need. This is open to all. It is a good way to get some new decor for your home, a new wardrobe for you and your family and possibly new treasures.

This year we will also accept non-perishable food items that will then go to The Giving Krue to be dispersed to those in need.

Please do not bring large items such as appliances or furniture and make sure the items are ready for a new home and not just things that should be discarded.
After the event is over, all leftover items will be donated to a local charity.

I am asking for volunteers to help both Friday and Saturday. If you can work only an hour or a couple hours, that would be great. Let me know if I can add you to my list.
