For the past several years, the Kehl Ride Out of Darkness has brought our community together to raise awareness, offer support, and show those struggling that they are not alone. What started as a way to honor loved ones lost has grown into a powerful force for change, healing, and hope.

Thanks to the Kehl family’s tireless work and the Ride’s continued success, countless conversations about mental health have been started. Critical resources — like free training, support programs, and life-saving tools — have been funded and shared. The impact of their efforts has been felt in our schools, among our first responders, and across families in every corner of Rush County.

The Ride Out of Darkness has truly been a light in the darkness for so many.
We are forever grateful to the Kehls for leading with love, compassion, and action. Here’s to the years of making a difference — and to the lives saved because of it.
