YIP Spotlight: Mitchell Wagoner

Mitchell Wagoner is currently working as a maintenance coordinator at Corteva Agriscience in Rushville. Because of his position, Mitchell is able to help Corteva Agriscience give back to the Rush County community. Mitchell budgets money and makes orders that buy supplies from local businesses instead of from somewhere outside of the community. In his personal life, Mitchell gives back by volunteering with ARC of Rush County at the Shares Inc. annual Thanksgiving dinner and helping out at the St. Mary’s Fall Festival. Mitchell is motivated to help however he can because he likes to see other people be happy, and philanthropy always puts a smile on someone’s face!

Mitchell’s philanthropic values developed while he was serving the community through Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) when he was in high school. YIP encouraged him to be selfless and to find ways to give to others. One of Mitchell’s favorite memories of YIP is when the team planted flowers at the SR 3 and US Hwy 52 split just south of town. This experience allowed him to work with the team and beautify Rushville. RCCF is glad Mitchell looks back fondly on his time with YIP and is proud of the ways he has continued to give back to Rush County.
