RCCF Birthday Celebration

What organization has community grant funds which provide support to the community at-large through competitive grant disbursement and have, because of their flexibility, impacted 112 nonprofit organizations serving Rush County through $1.1 million in grants since the first award in 1994?
What organization has given $1.2 million in post-secondary education funding to Rush County students?
What organization allows a memorial gift that gives back, year after year, in a permanently endowed fund of your choice, giving an annual distribution to the cause or organization nearest your heart?
Where can you allocate your dollars to an area you love (the community as a whole, a specific cause, a specific organization, etc.) and be assured that residuals will pay a yearly dividend to them forever?
The answer to all of these questions is the Rush County Community Foundation! The Rush County Community Foundation was founded on May 21, 1991. In honor of our 28th birthday we’re throwing a party – and everyone is invited.
Join us the week of May 20-24th for “Friends Week”. Stop by the RCCF office during business hours (9am-4pm), bring a friend, enjoy some birthday goodies, and you’ll each be entered to win $250 for the local nonprofit agency of your choice. Happy Birthday to us and we’re sharing with you!
Kick off RCCF’s birthday week celebration by attending our joint event with First5! Join us at the Princess Theater on Monday, May 20 at 11:45 for a light lunch, discussion and airing of the documentary “No Small Matter.”
No Small Matter is the first feature documentary to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for good in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years, and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country.
We’d love to see you at the Princess Theater, in our office, or both! Unable to join? You can still learn about the Foundation’s impact, share our event, and even donate to commemorate the big day by visiting our website at www.rushcountyfoundation.org and follow the link to our special birthday website.
The wonderful support RCCF receives from donors, volunteers, and our community at-large allows us to further our mission to enrich and enhance the quality of life in Rush County, forever. Each dollar we receive expands our capacity to give back to charitable needs within and for the people in Rush County through grant and scholarship awards. The remarkable people in our community make Rush County a great place in a variety of ways.
