July 4, 2026, will mark the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. An Indiana Committee has been formed to help celebrate this momentous occasion. Rush County is a part of the effort.

There will be an information meeting with Rush County Community Leaders on Tuesday, April 22, at the Rushville City Center at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to share ideas and understanding about the scope of our local efforts. The Organizing Committee intends to act as a clearinghouse for the 250th information, and to create a 250th calendar for Rush County events in 2026.
