RushFest | Willkie Days

September 16 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Here’s a schedule of Willkie Days, September 15th, 16th and 17th. Hope to see you see you there!!!

  • 15th – Covered Bridge Dinner – SOLD OUT
  • 16th – RushFest is Saturday, 9am to 3pm, Downtown Rushville.
  • Vendors will be on the sidewalks along Main Street also on East 3rd Street
  • Downtown shops will be open for your shopping fun
  • Kidz Zone on West 3rd Street will feature the following fun for kids. Cost is ONLY $5 to enjoy all the following and good for all day:
    • Large bounce house
    • Large obstacle course,
    • Inflatable axe throwing
    • Inflatable Basketball
    • Barrel train rides
  • Other fun things in the Kidz Zone:
    • Face painting
    • Rock painting
    • Original Tractor Cab will have a popcorn booth.
    • Midget Car on display for photo ops
    • YoYo Balloon’s
    • RPD will have a Dunk Tank so you stop by and dunk your favorite officer, RPD Police Car plus more.
  • Also located in the Kidz Zone area will be Food vendors plus seating: (Please note food served that day may be different than listed below, but all is great!! Come enjoy!!!)
    • American Legion Aux #150 – Sliced Pie from their fundraiser, so you can try it before you place your order for the holidays.
    • Corey’s – Pork Sandwiches, Pork Nachos & Loaded Pork Potatoes
    • Just Smokin’ LLC – Smoked Pork or Chicken Sandwiches, Walking Tacos, Melts
    • Kona Ice – Shaved Ice with so many flavors to choose from
    • Ollie’s Family BBQ & Catering – Pulled Pork, Big Wan & Loaded Nachos
    • Stacy’s – Brd. Tenderloin, Brd. Chicken, Onion Rings & Tater Tots
  • Willkie Park:
    • C&W Kettle Korn – Popcorn (Plain & Carmel-the best around), Baked Pretzels, Hot Dogs
  • Farmer’s Market: Filled with vendors selling handmade items, home baked items along with home grown items.
  • 201 Building is a must stop for the day:
    • Rushville Breakfast Optimist Students Art Show will be on display.
    • Rush County Chamber of Commerce Photography Contest entries will be on display
    • Author Mary Wilkinson, will be there to greet you, discuss her writings and offer some of her books for sale
  • 10am Parade:
    • Line-up begins at 8:30 by the high school gym on Lions Path & Park Blvd and begins at 10am
    • 5-in-50 Covered Bridge Bike Ride starts ahead of the parade at 10am
    • Special entry in the parade will be Five of our Covered Bridges in Rush County ranging from 5ft long to 9ft long. These were built by a Rush County resident, Jack Wicker and will be on display after the parade, outside on the trailer located by the 201 Bldg. on Main Street. Stop by and see the craftsmanship in these.
    • Grand Marshal is Mr. Bowling, Jim Ephlin
  • After the parade, Main Street will be closed from 5th Street to 2nd Street so you can enjoy all the festivities without traffic through town.
  • 7pm FREE Concert at Rushville Riverside Park Amphitheatre and the last concert of the season:
    • Opening act will be Tyler Hornbeck
    • Pink Droyd, A Tribute to the Sights & Sounds of Pink Floyd including a Lazer Light Show
  • 17th – Sunday, SPARC Walk @2pm
    SPARC (Suicide Prevention Around Rush County) Walk at the Rushville Riverside Park

Come join us for RushFest on Saturday followed by the concert that evening and then Sunday for the SPARC Walk. See you there!!!!
