Spring Grant Deadlines for Soccer, Parks, Boy Scouts & More!

The Rush County Community Foundation’s [RCCF] Spring FOI (field-of-interest) Grant deadline is March 1st and the Community Grants letter of intent deadline is May 1st. Application instructions and forms are available at the RCCF office or on the RCCF website. FOI Funds making grants this spring:

  • Shane Young Memorial Soccer Fund – Established by Shane’s family as a memorial for Shane’s love of soccer, proceeds promote soccer in Rush County. This grant could be used to send a delegate to a soccer camp, to improve soccer facilities, to promote sportsmanship, to train adult leaders, to provide monies for training youth in soccer skills, or to serve as a conduit for those interested in helping support youth soccer.
  • Rush County Parks Fund – Established by the Rushville Parks and Recreation Director in 1995, the Parks Fund is to assist any Rush County park facility fund projects or programs which are not ordinarily funded by City or County governments. Specifically, grants are made to support projects or programs that will enhance the park system throughout Rush County to better serve its residents.
  • Youth in Philanthropy Fund – Created to promote youth involvement and teach philanthropy to our next generation of community leaders, the Youth in Philanthropy Fund makes grants to youth-lead service projects and youth organizations in Rush County. Any youth involved with a non-profit organization in Rush County who has a philanthropic project or service idea is encouraged to apply.
  • Boy Scouts of America Fund – Established in 2000, William “Bill” Herdrich created this fund to provide financial support to the Rush County Boy Scouts, particularly to support attending scout camp. All Rush County Boy Scout and Cub Scout Troop leaders are invited to request funding for scouts who might need financial help to attend Boy Scout Camp.

Community Grant Program – The RCCF Community Grant Program awards competitive grants in two cycles each year. To begin the application process, please submit a one page letter of intent. For more information about eligibility and the scope of funding opportunities please contact RCCF.
