Moving On!  RCCF Proceeds in Brackets for Good Tournament

When the final buzzer rang at 8:00PM on Friday evening, friends of the Rush County Community Foundation cheered in excitement that the Foundation moved on to Round 2 of the Brackets for Good tournament.  In an impressive competition between Shares, Inc. and the Foundation, RCCF prevailed with the win 2,862-1,421.

This week, until 8PM on March 16th, you can help the RCCF as they compete against Decatur County 4 Kids in Round 2 of the Brackets for Good tournament by making a contribution online!  In fact, by simply going online to www.bfg.org, you can win a free $5 in “free throw” points to contribute by completing a Donor Profile and submitting the points.  One point = one dollar, and every dollar counts!

If the Foundation raises enough funds each week to move on in the tournament, they could compete against one other Indiana nonprofit organization in the championship round for the chance to win $10,000!  However, regardless of how far RCCF advances in the bracket challenge, each dollar raised through Brackets for Good will be matched $1 for $1 to benefits the community grants program.  Ultimately, this is a fundraising tournament we all win!

Contributions for the challenge should be made online via www.bfg.org or the Foundation’s website.  All proceeds benefit the Rush County Community Foundation’s community grant funds.

Contact the RCCF office for more information on the Brackets for Good challenge, the community grant funds and the grants awarded, or if you’d like to make a donation!  Visitors are welcome to come in to submit their online donation:  stop by the office at 117 N. Main St., or call (765) 938-1177.

Thanks for your support, Rush County!
