How Community Support Furthers RCCF’s Mission

In the 9,796 days since the Rush County Community Foundation was formed, donations have steadily come in to bring the Foundation’s assets from $0 to $17,000,000. The support of our donors from near and far has made each of the days of the Foundation’s existence possible.  The increase in our assets is attributed to each dollar we’ve received throughout that time, and the increase in our assets has benefited our community through an exponential increase in grant funding disbursed.  The generosity of numerous donors has created millions of dollars’ worth of opportunities for local nonprofit organizations, and ultimately, local people.

Since March 2nd, the RCCF has been actively participating in the Brackets for Good fundraising tournament.  The support we have received throughout the past 14 days is a true testament to the wonderful people in our community and their belief in our work as an organization.  As of the press deadline on March 15th, RCCF ranks 5th of the 64 participating Indiana nonprofit organizations in total dollars raised throughout the entire tournament!  For the 77th smallest county of Indiana’s 92 counties, it’s amazing that a nonprofit organization that exclusively serves our small community remains so competitive:  the support from our community is incredible!

If you would like to assist the Foundation’s good work, consider a donation!  A donation this month will go even further than normal:  if you contribute online through the Brackets for Good site (www.bfg.org) you can help RCCF continue in the tournament, with the chance to win $10,000.  All donations made to either Brackets for Good or to any of our community grant funds (donations can be made in person, via mail, or online) will be matched $1 for $1!  Every dollar raised is permanently invested, offering growth and distribution year after year for the charitable needs of Rush County, forever.

The wonderful donors and continued support received throughout the past 27 years have made the Rush County Community Foundation a viable organization for our community.    Because of our donors, we can proudly say that we have contributed $11 million in grant funding to Rush County, with every dollar furthering our mission of enriching and enhancing the quality of life in Rush County.  The support of our donors and our community is the reason the Foundation exists and the reason we can continue to make Rush County a winning community.
