Grant applications due Wed. March 1st for Field-of-Interest Funds!

In addition to our community grants program, RCCF also makes specific grants from several funds. These field-of-interest funds have been established by generous donors who have a particular interest they would like to support. By creating a fund at RCCF, the assets donated provide support to Rush County in perpetuity. Our spring deadline field-of-interest funds are:

The Shane Young Memorial Soccer Fund – Established by Shane’s family as a memorial for Shane’s love of soccer, proceeds are distributed annually to promote soccer in Rush County. This grant could be used to send a delegate to a soccer camp, to improve soccer facilities, to promote sportsmanship, to train adult leaders, to provide monies for training youth in soccer skills, or to serve as a conduit for those interested in helping support youth soccer. The deadline to apply for this grant is March 1, 2017.

The Rush County Parks Fund – Established by the Rushville Parks and Recreation Director in 1995, the Parks Fund is to assist any Rush County park facility fund projects or programs which are not ordinarily funded by City or County governments. Specifically, grants are made to support projects or programs that will enhance the park system throughout Rush County to better serve its residents. The deadline to apply for this grant is March 1, 2017.

The Youth in Philanthropy Fund – Created to promote youth involvement and teach philanthropy to our next generation of community leaders, the Youth in Philanthropy Fund makes grants to youth-lead service projects and youth organizations in Rush County. Any youth involved with a non-profit organization in Rush County who has a philanthropic project or service idea is encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply for this grant is March 1, 2017.

The Boy Scouts of America Fund – Established in 2000, William “Bill” Herdrich created this fund to provide financial support to the Rush County Boy Scouts, particularly to support attending scout camp. All Rush County Boy Scout and Cub Scout Troop leaders are invited to request funding for scouts who might need financial help to attend Boy Scout Camp. The deadline to apply for this funding is March 1, 2017.

Grant applications for all of these funds can be found under the grants tab on our website.
