Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving provides each of us a time to reflect on the people and things in which we’re most grateful.  Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, we’re reflecting on 25 years of possibilities made a reality in Rush County because of the Rush County Community Foundation’s tremendous supporters.

Over the past 25 years, the investment of time, dollars, and talents by many in our community have allowed the Rush County Community Foundation to become the renowned organization we are today.  Volunteers committed to enriching and enhancing the lives of Rush County residents have dedicated themselves to making us a known organization by acting as committee members, members of our Board of Directors, or simply as advocates who have furthered our story.  We are so fortunate to have generations of volunteers who care deeply and serve our community through the Foundation.  These volunteers have enabled our growth, encouraged new donations, recommended funding priorities, and assisted with the planning, preparation, and execution of our events.

Thousands of individuals both near and far have contributed to the Foundation throughout the past 25 years, providing us with $14 million in assets that will forever support local charitable needs.  Thank you, donors, for entrusting us with your treasures and for recognizing us as a community partner and resource.  The Foundation would not exist and definitely would not be the organization it is today without your generous support.

Finally, we’d like to thank the nonprofit agencies that serve Rush County.  Your charitable work is the true reason for our existence.  Your programs and projects have served Rush County in various capacities throughout the years, benefiting our residents and ultimately making our entire community a better place to live, work, and play.

The Rush County Community Foundation has come quite a long way in 25 years, and we have an exciting future ahead.  This Thanksgiving, we’d like to especially thank the volunteers, donors, and nonprofit agencies that have made our story possible:  your belief in us has allowed us to fulfill our vision of enriching and enhancing the lives in Rush County time and again, and we look forward to doing so, forever.
