Giving Thanks to our Donors

The Rush County Community Foundation would like to thank our donors for making our impact in Rush County possible.

Because of your generosity, the Foundation has been able to give $9,000,000 back to Rush County since our first disbursement in 1994.

How has that money been awarded?

  • Community Grants
    • $950,000 community grant funds awarded
    • 110 organizations helped
  • Scholarships
    • $4 million scholarships awarded
  • Designated Funds
    • $1.2 million distributed
    • Benefiting 75 local nonprofit agencies
  • Lilly GIFT initiatives
    • $2 million provided to assist community and community foundation development
  • Field of Interest Funds
    • $100,000 awarded
  • Community Partnerships
    • $800,000 distributed

As we near the conclusion of the most recent GIFT from Lilly Endowment, we’re $68,000 away from meeting our goal!  The remaining dollars left for match are available for donations made to our community grant (unrestricted endowment) funds.  With thanks to you, our amazing donors, we have already raised in excess of $600,000 for GIFT VI matching dollars since August 1, 2014.  These contributions will forever give back to our community.

The good work of your dollars can be found throughout our entire county.  Trees, park equipment, educational programs, elderly assistance, scholarships, youth athletic  equipment, cemetery maintenance, needs for those less fortunate, improvements to/for nonprofit agencies’ work, necessary equipment for fire, EMA, and police departments, and health/safety equipment for the well-being of Rush County residents are among the many ways the Rush County Community Foundation is able to give back.

This Thanksgiving, we’re giving thanks for you:  your generosity and ongoing support has enabled our work and ability to make a positive difference within the Rush County community.
