Attending concerts at Riverside Park Amphitheater is a summer tradition loved by our community since 2005.  Each summer, the crowds pour in from Rush County and neighboring communities, eager to enjoy a great show in a fun, friendly atmosphere.  The Rush County Community Foundation is proud to state that we’ve played a role in making the tradition a reality for our community; in fact, we have given more funding to Riverside Park Amphitheater than any other local organization!

Since 2005, the Foundation has provided $60,000 to Riverside Park Amphitheater.  These dollars have come from the unrestricted funds that support our community grants program, the Rush County Community Foundation Operating Fund, and the Music for Rush County Fund.  The majority of the grant funds have supplemented the cost of providing free music for our community to enjoy, but our grant dollars have also purchased dumpster corrals, the curtains for the amphitheater stage, and most recently, helped with the costs of the new permanent pavilion.   Though not measurable, each dollar awarded to the Amphitheater has had an immense return:  few resources in Rush County reach as many people as the concert series!

This weekend, as the summer concert series kicks off its 13^th year, we hope you’ll join the Foundation in celebrating the wonderful attraction the City of Rushville, our grant funding, and the contributions many local businesses and individuals have made possible.  Rush County Community Foundation volunteers and members of our Board of Directors will be present at the first concert of the season and look forward to sharing more information about how you can help continue the summer tradition we have all grown to love through a contribution.
